L'ippogrifo Stampe d'arte

Gianni Raffaelli

The charm and tradition of unique art found only in the heart of Florence's Oltrarno area, where an artist creates exclusive objects with his soul and passion to make your living spaces elegant and special. While he was a student at the Academy of Fine Arts, Gianni Raffaelli worked for the Ciompi Theatre. With other graphic draftsmen from the theatre, he founded the “L’Ippogrifo” in 1976.

In twenty years of experience, Gianni Raffaelli has received worldwide recognition for his professionalism and competence. Starting in the year 1990, Gianni has taken many Art students under his personal tutelage in courses adopted to teach these techniques. As a result of his professionalism and reputation in the artistic field, Gianni Raffaelli and “La Stampa d’Arte” has been uncharged by the Regional Government of Tuscany to rule the “School of Engraving Arts” sponsored and supported by the European Social Fund.

Since 1999, he has had a shop/studio in collaboration with his wife, Francesca, in the Santo Spirito area of Florence, a typical part of the city where historically, many artisans in Florence worked. Here, it is possible to see them working and enjoying their gallery, which offers more than 500 peices, made throughout their productive career.
